This course trains you in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) for adults and children. Through practical exercises on manikins and guided simulations you will learn to recognise cardiac arrest, activate emergency services correctly and respond promptly with life-saving manoeuvres. After the course and the final practical assessment you receive a BLS/PBLSD qualification certificate according to current regulations.
The course is intended for: lay people, parents and relatives, caregivers and home assistants, professional carers, non-clinical staff and anyone who wants to be authorised to use an AED and perform life-saving manoeuvres (no prior healthcare training required).

The caregiver is the person who assists, daily or at certain times, a relative or someone with reduced autonomy due to illness, older age, disability or temporary frailty. Often they are a son or daughter, spouse, parent or home care assistant. Taking care of someone means dealing with delicate tasks: managing therapies, using aids, monitoring important signs, helping with mobilisation and daily hygiene. That is why clear, practical guidance matters.
Caregiver Academy is designed for relatives, caregivers, professional carers and home assistants who want to manage care more safely, consciously and calmly. If you have ever wondered “Am I doing the right thing?”, here you will find a practical path to greater confidence in everyday tasks.
When you finish the course you will be able to: recognise cardiac arrest promptly, activate the emergency medical system correctly, perform CPR on adults, perform CPR on children and infants, use the automated external defibrillator (AED) correctly, intervene safely until help arrives, work effectively with the emergency team.
Cardiac arrest can happen anytime, anywhere. Acting in the first minutes can greatly improve survival. The course follows international recommendations for CPR and AED use. It includes practical exercises on adult, paediatric and infant manikins with a training AED. You gain practical life-saving skills and learn to respond quickly in an emergency.
